FHS and NFHS Top Ten Graduating Students

eBook Check-In Schedule

Forney ISD will begin checking in student eBooks (laptops) on Wednesday, May 16 and continue through Wednesday, May 30. Click here for a schedule of when each campus will begin checking in eBooks.



FHS and NFHS Track Athletes Win Medals at State Track Meet
Forney High School hurdler Kiana Hawn won two medals and North Forney High School hurdler Hunter Hartley won one medal at the University Interscholastic League (UIL) State Track Meet. Click here for more details.
Meeting Regarding Special Education Services for Parents of Home Schooled Students

The Forney ISD Special Education Department will hold an information meeting for parents of students who are home schooled on Thursday, May 24 at 10 a.m. regarding available services from Forney ISD.

Friday, May 25 - Bad Weather Day - No School
Friday, May 25 is designated a Bad Weather Day. Due to the fact that Forney ISD did not have to cancel school because of severe winter weather this year, there will be no school on Friday, May 25. Students return to school on Tuesday, May 29.
Forney ISD Summer Schedule - 2012
Forney ISD's summer schedule will begin on Monday, June 4. The District Administration Building will be open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m.to 5:30 p.m. The District will be closed on Fridays. Click here for information about summer school and new student enrollment.
Forney ISD 2012 Campus Teachers of the Year

Holt Named Director of Special Populations

Laura Holt has been named the new Director of Special Populations by the Forney Independent School District. Holt replaces Cindy Riney who is retiring at the end of the current school year. Click here for more details.

 




Fisher Named Principal at Rhea Elementary School
The Forney Independent School District recently announced that Scott Fisher, the current Principal at Claybon Elementary School, will be the new Principal at Rhea Elementary School. Fisher replaces Cecilia Cosper who is retiring at the end of the school year. Click here for more details.
FISD Board Approves New Athletic Coordinator for NFHS
The FISD Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Lance Gary as the new Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach for North Forney High School. Click here for more details.
FISD Athletic Physical Information
Forney ISD athletic physicals will be completed at Dr. Burney and Dr. Zavala offices this year. Schools and grades are scheduled at specific times and begin on April 30 and run through May 25. Click here for more information and to download the required forms.
National Honor Society Applications Now Available

National Honor Society applications are now available for Forney High School and North Forney High students.  Sophomores, juniors and seniors who feel they meet the acceptance criteria are encouraged to apply. NHS forms can be picked up in the front office of both high schools.

Forney ISD Accepting Out of District Student Transfers

Credit by Examination (CBE)
Forney ISD is now accepting registration for “Credit by Examination”.  The purpose of credit by exam is to allow a student to accelerate in grades K – 5 and earn credit without prior formal instruction in grades 6 – 12, free of charge. Click here for more information.

Forney High and North Forney High Realigned to District 10-4A

School Report Card - 2010-2011

Forney ISD is required to provide access to the State of Texas 2010-11 School Report Card for the District. The report provides information concerning student performance, expenditures, average class size, and student/teacher ratios. Graduation Requirements and Changes

With the implementation of STAAR™, students in the 3rd through 9th grade during the 2011-2012 school year will have different graduating requirements than students who are currently in the 10th through 12th grade. Criminal History Authorization On-line Form
Volunteers with Forney ISD are required to complete a Criminal History Authorization Form prior to working with students and the district. Click here to complete and submit the on-line form.
