    Linelle Clarke Warren

    Linelle Clarke married Cecil Warren and the couple moved to Texas in 1945. She continued her career in education as a teacher at Chicota High School, a few miles north of Paris, Texas in northern Lamar County. While teaching at Chicota High School, Mrs. Warren earned her Masters in English and History in 1950 from East Texas Teachers College in Commerce, Texas, known today as Texas A&M University at Commerce. 

    Mrs. Warren began teaching at Kemp High School in 1950 before moving to Forney, Texas in 1958. She taught English at Forney High School from 1958 until retiring in 1975. 

    Mrs. Warren organized the National Honor Society Chapter in 1968 and remained the sponsor of the organization for seven years. She was named the Woman of the Year by Alpha Nu Sigma Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, is a former trustee for the Forney United Methodist Church and a member of the American Legion Post 591.
