Welcome to Forney ISD!
We are so happy you've decided to join our #ForneyFamily. Below, please find information and resources to help you make a smooth transition to our district.
New Employee Orientation
We are so excited to share our agenda and logistics for New Employee Orientation week, starting on Monday, July 29. In the link below, you will find the dates, times, locations, broad agenda topics, and (most importantly!) lunch plans for each day of our 5 day session. You will receive specific instructions, such as room assignments, when you arrive to your location.
Snacks, coffee, and water will be provided on each day of training. Our dress code will be business casual. Parking is available on the east and west sides of the building at North Forney HS, and doors along both those sides will be unlocked for you to use.
A note about technology: You will have an opportunity to pick up your Chromebook at the first day of training, so if you have not done so already, please complete the instructions you were provided after intake for claiming your technology account. If you have not attended intake, please plan to stay late on Monday, July 29, and we will hold an intake session at North Forney HS (you will need to bring original copies of your identification documents for your I-9 form with you).
If you have attended intake but are missing documents, please get those into us ASAP so we can send you the technology access information. You will need to show ID to retrieve your technology materials - please come with a photo ID so that we can distribute your school badge for you to show to our technology department.
New Employee Orientation fulfills your Professional Learning Exchange time for the 2019-20 school year, which allows you to be off for Fall Break in October without being docked. For this reason, it is critical that you sign in each day, so that we can accurately record your session attendance and credit your days. If you will be unable to attend any part of New Employee Orientation, please complete this form after you have communicated the conflict with your supervisor. We will follow-up with where to find course materials, any offered makeup sessions, and required next steps for your Professional Learning Exchange days in the coming weeks.
We look forward to seeing you all starting July 29!
Like other TRS-participating districts, Forney ISD's benefit plan year runs from September 1 - August 31. If you will be joining our team in the summer when our benefit year is starting over, your enrollment can seem a little bit confusing - but it doesn't have to be! Below is a quick guide to completing your enrollment quickly and easily.
If you've never worked for a school district, or need coverage prior to September 1:
If you need coverage immediately, you can find a quick guide to our 2018-19 benefits offerings here. You can enroll online at http://www.mybenefitshub.com/forneyisd
Enrollment will be completed online, with optional in-person sessions offered during the following dates/times for those who wish to talk with an enrollment representative:

Please note: the times listed above are for New Employee Enrollment only. You will need to attend one of these sessions, not one of the open enrollment sessions below if you need benefit coverage prior to September 1.
If you only need coverage on/after September 1:
