Dear Forney Family Parents & Staff,
We hope you’re enjoying the sunshine from your backyard today, sprinkled with some virtual learning. We wanted to send a few updates and important information.

FOOD: Lake Pointe, C Life, and Free Life are all accepting non-perishable foods. You may drop off at their Forney church campuses from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday afternoons. The food is packed into boxes that include food for a family of 4 for a week and distributed at our Community Resource Hubs to anyone from our community in need. Items needed: pasta, canned pasta, mac and cheese, snack bars, crackers, canned fruit, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, canned food.
PERSONAL CARE: First United Methodist Church is collecting personal hygiene and care items, such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, deodorant, baby wipes, diapers, etc. from 2-5 p.m on Sundays.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES: May be dropped at food or personal care drop-off locations (Lake Pointe, C Life, Free Life or First United Methodist Church.)
MONETARY DONATIONS: Forney Community Ministries is accepting donations online designated for coronavirus support. Click here to donate.
BLOOD DRIVES: CLife Campus is hosting a blood drive tomorrow. Click here to sign up for a designated time to give. First United Methodist Church is also hosting a blood drive April 11 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Click here to sign-up.
Tier 3 Operations
With the announcement of the Kaufman County shelter in place order (click here to read) beginning Wednesday, March 25 at 11:59 p.m. through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, Forney ISD will move to Tier 3 Operations. This means we’re leaving our weekday Grab & Go drive-through meals open and limiting our drive through Community Resource and Tech Hubs.

The menu is available on their website. Grab & Go meals are available for our first responders as well.

At our Tech and Community Resource Hubs, please pull up to the sign, call the number listed and someone will drop items on the station for you to retrieve.
