Forney ISD is growing and growing fast! Each year in November, we review our attendance zones to ensure we have space to accommodate all of our current and future students.
On December 5, 2022, the Forney ISD Board of Trustees approved attendance zone changes impacting the elementary attendance zones only beginning in Fall 2023.
With the opening of the new Dewberry Elementary in the Fall of 2023, our annual attendance zone review and modification will impact only elementary (K-4th) families currently attending Blackburn, Crosby or Griffin elementaries.
The district has four separate zoning maps that are independent of each other: (1) elementary, (2) intermediate, (3) middle, and (4) high school. Intermediate, middle, and high school attendance zone boundaries will NOT change for Fall 2023.
