A lifelong educator, Kathy Green has been a cornerstone of Forney ISD for more than 45 years, leaving a lasting mark both during her professional career and in retirement. She began her journey as a teacher in Forney ISD before moving into administration, where she excelled as an elementary principal. 

Known as a hands-on leader who worked alongside her team and never asked anyone to do something she wouldn’t do herself, Mrs. Green had the distinct honor of opening both Claybon and Crosby elementary campuses, helping shape the early foundation of the district's growth. Her exceptional leadership in building strong school cultures earned her a district Legacy Award, which has only been given to 7 individuals over the last 8 years. 

“Public education is my lifelong passion, and this district means the world to me," said Green. "I look forward to working alongside the board to support our wonderful teachers, champion our students, and ensure Forney ISD continues to thrive.”
