Accountability Reports

The Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPRs) pull together a wide range of information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas every year. Performance is shown disaggregated by student groups, including ethnicity and socioeconomic status. The Federal Report Cards share detailed information on student achievement, academic growth, graduation rates, and teacher qualifications for Texas public school districts and campuses as required by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). These reports display data disaggregated by student sub-groups, including racial and ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic status, and special populations. They also detail state, district, and campus performance indicators, federal accountability status, and civil rights data. The School Report Cards (SRC) combine campus accountability ratings, data from the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), and financial information to provide a broad overview of campus performance. Required by the Texas Legislature and prepared by the Texas Education Agency annually, these reports are designed specifically to inform parents and guardians about an individual school’s characteristics, student achievement, STAAR results, and academic growth.
