A pathway for Forney ISD employees to collaborate during the alternative certification process!

Forney ISD strives to hire teachers that bring a wealth of content and technical knowledge to our district and students. Individuals can begin a career in teaching with a bachelor's degree.  When these individuals are hired, they are asked to begin the process of earning a teaching certificate with the state of Texas through the alternative certification process.

Forney ISD has partnered with TeachWorthy to provide program-level, as well as district-level, support for staff members that are seeking their Texas teaching certificate through the alternative certification process. In this cohort-style approach, Forney ISD instructional coaches and program advisors are able to meet the individual needs of each candidate that is on the journey toward certification.
