Looking to Volunteer?

Building relationships is at the core of our Forney Values. There are numerous opportunities to volunteer on campuses. From Parent Teacher Organizations (PTOs). student field trips, student mentors, student tutoring -- all volunteers must register on VOMO (our volunteer registration platform) and pass the screening process to be an approved volunteer. LOOKING TO SPONSOR?

Throughout the school year, there are may opportunities to sponsor district-wide events. If your business or organization would like to be involved in any of the initiatives below, contact Robyn Cox at rdcox@forneyisd.net. 

  • Beginning of Year Leadership Conference (Jul)
    This 4-day conference is held each summer and includes all district administrators (~250). Sponsors cover the cost of lunch in exchange for recognition during the event and on social media.
  • New Teacher Week (Jul/Aug)
    All new to Forney ISD teachers are welcomed to the district during a weeklong orientation. Sponsorship opportunities vary, but could include a sponsored breakfast or lunch. Estimated attendance is between 400 - 600.
  • Project Backpack (Jul/Aug)
    Forney ISD and the Forney Education Foundation partner each summer to provide backpacks filled with supplies for students who need them. Sponsorship donations go towards the purchase of the backpacks and supplies.  For the 23-24 school year, we provided more than 1,500 backpacks.
  • Convocation (Aug)
    Each August, ALL Forney ISD staff (2,500+) gather to kick off the start of a new school year. In 2024 we will host this event at The OC for the first time. Sponsorship opportunities vary from year to year.
  • Pack the Pantry (Oct/Nov)
    Each Fall, Forney ISD campuses and business partners work together to pack the pantry with non-perishable food items to be donated to the Forney Food Pantry.
  • Forney Family Season of Giving (Nov/Dec)
    Each Christmas, Forney ISD partners with the Lions Club of Forney to provide a holiday experience for families to help make their season brighter. Our counseling staff identify students and families who need assistance each year and we work with local business partners, churches and other organizations to make sure we can provide for these families. Information on this annual effort will be sent out in early November. 
  • Forney Family Holiday Cheer (Nov/Dec)
    Each holiday season, we host staff lunches at each of our campuses and administrative offices. Thanks to generous donations by our amazing #ForneyFamily business partners, we are able to have door prizes for our dedicated teachers and staff. 
  • Special Olympics (Apr)
    Each April Forney ISD hosts more than 200 special athletes for our very own Special Olympics competition. Sponsors help offset the cost of the event, including t-shirts for all athletes, pizza, drinks, medals and more. We also welcome volunteers.
  • Uniform Assistance
    Forney Community Ministries and the First Presbyterian Church of Forney School Uniform Exchange maintains an inventory of dress code shirts, pants, shorts, skirts, jumpers. Learn more at https://www.forneyisd.net/departments/student-services/clothing-uniform-assistance.

The Forney Education Foundation (FEF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax exempt organization created in 2003 whose purpose is to light the way for teaching and learning in Forney ISD through the Advantage Plus+ program and innovative teaching grants.  Throughout the year, FEF supports their mission through various events, such as Adopt-a-Grant, the Annual Antlers & Tutus Fun Run, their annual gala and through ongoing donations.   • Employee Perks
    If you offer a discount to Forney ISD teachers and staff, you can submit that information using this form. Employee Perks are published to our website and shared in our weekly internal email newsletter. Discounts must be valid for the entire school year.
  • Non-Profit Flyers
    If your organization is a 501(c)3 non-profit, you can submit flyers to be included in our weekly Non-Profit flyers email that gets distributed to district families and staff and is also published on our website. Learn more about Non-Profit Flyers.
