Open Records/Public Information Requests

Forney ISD accepts open records requests submitted to the district by U.S. Postal mail or through the District's Open Records software, Just FOIA. Click here to submit an open records request online. If you'd like to submit a request in writing via U.S. Postal mail or by dropping off at the district's main office, more information is provided at the bottom of this page. 

Transcript Requests

Requests for student records such as transcripts and diplomas should be sent to the student's campus. A link to request transcripts is provided on each high school campus website, Forney High and North Forney High, through Parchment. All other requests must be sent as follows and will not be considered unless it is sent to the proper address.  

Verification of Enrollment (VOE) Requests

For Verification of Enrollment (VOE) requests for high school students, please use the link below. A link to request VOE's is provided on each high school campus website, Forney High and North Forney High, through Parchment. For VOE's for PK-8th grade students, please use the JustFOIA system to submit a student record request. All other requests must be sent as follows and will not be considered unless it is sent to the proper address.  

Student Record Requests

The campus principal is the custodian of record for student records. Student record requests and subpoenas for student records may also be submitted through Just FOIA. Click here to submit a student record request online or send a subpoena for student records. 

Submitting a request through JustFOIA will release records to the parent/guardian, and not officially sent to the another district due to withdrawal/enrollment process. In order to have records sent to a new district, please return the Chromebook to the Tech Spot at The Opportunity Central. The new school will request school records from us through TREx, the state system, and we send the school the official student records.  This state system allows us to send official records, as other districts may not accept records directly from a parent/guardian.  

Police Records

Forney ISD Police Department records are separate from district open records and student records. Click here to submit an a police record request online or send a subpoena for student records.    

Video/Security Footage Records

Video footage from Forney ISD security cameras constitute part of the District’s security system, and the District does not release copies of surveillance footage. Parents and guardians may be permitted to view video footage of incidents involving their child in certain limited circumstances, such as when it becomes a part of their child's educational record. Click here to submit an request online for video footage.  

Personnel Records

Forney ISD's Human Resources Department handles personnel record requests. Service Record Requests made be made online here.
