Free Summer Literacy Program
Looking for a way to keep your kids engaged and entertained this summer? We are excited to invite you to our Free Summer Literacy Program at Willett Elementary! This is a three session summer literacy experience designed to engage families through reading, live educational presentations and hands-on activities. We have an incredible lineup of guest performers coming to share the magic of reading with your children. From music to animals to science, there is something for everyone.

- June 2 | 10 AM – 12 PM: Mr. Blue Shoes
- June 16 | 12 PM – 2 PM: Creature Teacher
- June 30 | 2 PM – 4 PM: Professor Brainius
What to expect at every session:
- 🎤 Guest Performers: A high-energy presentation from our special guests.
- 📖 Story Time: Listen to an engaging read-aloud.
- 🎨 Get Creative: Complete a fun art project to take home.
- 🎡 Win Big: Spin the wheel for exciting reading prizes!
- 📚 Free Books: Every child gets to choose a book to take home and keep.
- 🍧 Cool Treats: Grab a Kona Ice on your way out!
This program is free and open to all Forney families with children. Parents are required to stay and attend with their child. We can’t wait to see you there!
