League Information

The spring volleyball league is open to teams that have a full roster. Practices will take place on Sunday afternoons and games will be on either Tuesday or Friday of each week. Each division will follow the open league rules for their grade levels. Teams must provide their own jerseys (or use jerseys from previous season) with numbers.

 

General Information

Players will have one scheduled practice each week and a game each Saturday. Coaches will communicate the practice and game schedule. There will be 7 games per season. Practices and games will not take place during weeks or days in which there is no school. For example, there will be no practices or games during Spring Break. Game dates and practice dates are listed above

At the end of the season, the top teams from each division will compete in a tournament to determine a league champion. The league champions and runners up will receive awards. When possible, all teams will be placed into the championship bracket.

Each game will have two officials and a court supervisor. The officials will be students from North Forney or Forney High School and will have gone through NFHS officials training to be prepared for the league. The court supervisor will help with court setup, tear down, water jug refills, basic first aid and help answer parents questions. Please keep in mind that these students are still learning as well! Games will be the best of three sets with each set being played to 21 and the third set (if necessary) to 15. There is a cap on each set of 25 (20 for the 3rd set) points.
