Free and reduced price meal applications are available to all students throughout the year, and families can apply at any time using the online application OR paper application, although online applications are the preferred method, as they are usually much quicker and reduce dependence on paper.
The 89th Texas Legislature approved funding as part of the General Appropriations Act so that students who qualify for reduced-price school meals can eat breakfast and lunch at no charge for the next two years. Families will still need to complete a meal application next year for qualification.
Please note that if you received a notification letter or your parent Skyward indicates that a child is “directly certified” for free or reduced-price meals, do not complete an application. The online application can be accessed at: https://skyward.iscorp.com/scripts/wsisa.dll/WService=wseduforneytx/fwemnu01.w
The charge policy will remain the same as last year. Students can charge up to $25 for reimbursable meals only (no a la carte charging).
Courtesy (Alternate meals) with fruit and/or veg will be given when charges have reached this limit until the balance is paid.
