General Information

GT and Advanced programs in Forney aim to provide meaningful enrichment and acceleration opportunities to maximize the potential of each student.

It is the mission of the GT and Advanced Academics programs in Forney to identify high academic potential, highly motivated, and gifted students and provide them with opportunities for academic rigor, depth and complexity, college preparation, acceleration, and to nurture a healthy social and emotional development.

GT and Advanced Academic students will demonstrate skills in self-directed learning, thinking, research, and communication as evidenced by the development of innovative products and performances that are advanced in relation to students of similar age, experience, or environment and reflect individuality and creativity.
