About the IT Department
Purpose
The effective use of information technology (IT) significantly benefits both the students and staff of Forney ISD in a variety of ways. Through IT, our students are provided enhanced modes of learning, while developing the skills that will be necessary to compete in their future society. Likewise, today's use of IT by district staff results in an overall increase in productivity, accuracy and creativity.
To ensure these benefits are realized, Forney ISD maintains an IT strategy that is fully integrated with district curriculum and professional needs.

Department Responsibilities
The most common duties of the IT Department are providing generalized IT support for devices and software for FISD Staff and Students. In addition, the IT Department is responsible for the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all IT physical plant and strategic software systems. Key responsibilties are listed below:
