Beginning on March 13th, a new version of the FileWave Kiosk began rolling out to our Windows, macOS, and iOS devices. This kiosk update includes not only a complete visual overhaul of the software kiosk, but many performance enhancements that will improve user experience and allow for better IT support.

This update is automatically rolling out to all devices as part of kiosk version 15.3.0. If you regularly use a Windows, macOS, or iOS device and do not see the new kiosk by the end of the week, please submit a Help Desk request for your device so that an IT Specialist can investigate.

Forney ISD Technology will be performing server maintenance Wednesday, March 6, starting at 9am on the following systems. These systems will be off line throughout the day. Thank you for understanding.

Forney ISD IT is aware that OLE, our current LMS services are down. Users are unable to get to the site  We are currently working with the OLE Vendor for a resolution and will provide any updates as soon as possible. 

Update: 11:40AM Feb 22th, 2024

OLE access has now been restored for all users.

MyFISD Planned Maintenance

Please be advised of RapidIdentity Cloud Planned Maintenance beginning Saturday February 24, 2024 from 8:00 PM through to Sunday February 25, 2024 at 5:00 AM US Central Time.

The MyFISD portal will be unavailable during this time. (Including bookmarks, password resets, etc.)

Forney ISD IT will be performing required annual maintenance on PaperCut during our February 14th maintenance window.

Due to the nature of this maintenance, we expect PaperCut to be unavailable and all printing to be down for multiple hours. To ensure that there is enough time to complete the maintenance, or rollback all changes in the event of an error, we will be extending our maintenance window from it's normal start time at 6PM to 4PM.

Please prepare for all PaperCut services to be unavailable for the evening of the 14th, beginning at 4PM. All services should be restored by the start of school on February15th.

What is the IT Support Blog?

The Forney ISD IT Department maintains this blog to communicate changes -both planned and unplanned- to our environment. This blog will be the first place we communicate any known outages or interruptions of service, as well as where we share newly released updates and planned changes for the future. Forney ISD Staff can join this chat space to be automatically notified of new posts to the blog.
