Early Childhood Special Education
“Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning.” - Fred Rogers
FISD offers Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) for students who qualify due to a disability condition.
This is a special education program for students ages 3 and 4 that focuses on providing early intervention for delays in developmental skills: speech/communication, social/emotional, physical, cognitive and adaptive behavior. There are a spectrum of services available including speech therapy and classroom programs.
If you are new to Forney and your child has already been identified with a disability and has an IEP, please complete the new student enrollment process. It is helpful if you can provide a copy of the IEP and evaluation report.
