Forney and North Forney Named 10-6A Co-District Champions!
Lauren Blackard

This past weekend marked a historic moment for Forney ISD athletics as both Forney High School and North Forney High School claimed victories over their Rockwall ISD rivals to become District 10-6A Co-District Champions.

Forney High defeated the first-in-district Rockwall-Heath, while North Forney triumphed over Rockwall, earning both teams a share of the district championship title for the first time in district history. This accomplishment highlights the dedication, teamwork, and resilience of Forney ISD’s student-athletes, coaches, and trainers who have worked tirelessly all season.

The Forney High School Jackrabbits hold an impressive 5-1 district record, while the North Forney Falcons also boast a 5-1 district record, a remarkable testament to both programs’ consistency and competitiveness this year.

As they head into the playoffs, both teams will take the field at home this Friday, November 14:

North Forney vs. Sachse at 7:30 p.m. at Better Life Stadium
Forney High vs. Naaman Forest at 7:00 p.m. at City Bank Stadium

Forney ISD could not be prouder of the success and sportsmanship demonstrated by both programs. “It is an exciting time to be a Jackrabbit or a Falcon," said Forney ISD Executive Director of Athletics, Neal Weaver.  "We compete in the toughest district in the state, and both of our Forney ISD high schools have battled to the top.  We're blessed by great people, from the players and coaches to the trainers, managers, and parent volunteers.  They already made history.  Now let's rally behind them all as they pursue UIL State Championships!".
