FORNEY, TX - Forney ISD students, staff, teachers and families donated over 10,000 items during the 2025 Forney ISD Pack the Pantry Food Drive presented by Texas Health to benefit local Forney food pantries.

The drive began on Monday, October 20 and ran through Friday, October 31 at every Forney ISD campus and the central administration building. Students, teachers, staff and local businesses donated canned goods and nonperishable items to families in need. On Thursday, November 6, cadets in the Forney ISD Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) visited every school in the District and loaded the donations on a truck and then delivered them to local Forney food pantries. When all the donations were counted, students and staff donated more than 10,000 items.

Forney ISD schools compete with each other to donate the most items during the drive. The winning campus receives the Pack the Pantry trophy for the year. The Academies at the OC won the elementary competition with over 1,350 items donated, and Forney ISD FFA won the secondary competition with over 1,100 pounds of food donated.
