Forney ISD, Forney Education Foundation, and Texas Health Announce Partnership

Forney ISD, Forney Education Foundation, and Texas Health Announce Partnership

Forney Independent School District (Forney ISD), the Forney Education Foundation (FEF), and Texas Health Resources announce a multi-year partnership focused on strengthening community health, education and engagement. This collaboration coincides with Texas Health’s plans to open Forney’s first full-service hospital in 2027— a milestone for one of the fastest-growing cities in the nation.

More than a traditional collaboration, this partnership reflects a shared vision to uplift and connect Forney families with meaningful engagement opportunities. Dr. Justin Terry, Superintendent of Forney ISD said, “By working together, we have more resources to create impactful experiences that support students, staff and families.”

As part of this alliance, Texas Health will contribute to Forney Education Foundation initiatives and take part in district-led events designed to promote connection and enrichment. Texas Health’s involvement started this spring with the Foundation’s annual Glow Run on May 3, followed by Forney ISD’s Back-to-School Rally in July—just the first of many planned touchpoints. Texas Health will also sponsor the district's water safety program as well as provide health and wellness initiatives to students and families.

This partnership—rooted in mutual values of service, connection, and community impact—aims to enrich lives, strengthen families, and support the growth of a thriving Forney community.

“Texas Health is proud of our history serving Kaufman County residents through Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman, our clinics and through our past and current collaborations with community organizations to address the barriers to good health,” said Toya White, president of the future Texas Health Hospital Forney. “Through this alliance with Forney ISD and the Forney Education Foundation, we are excited to have even more opportunities to connect with students and their families and help promote a healthier lifestyle and future for residents.”
