Forney ISD Juniors and Seniors receive over $2.37 Billion in Scholarship Offers

Forney ISD is celebrating an extraordinary achievement, as juniors and seniors across the district have been awarded an unprecedented $2,378,851,988 in scholarship offers for the current academic year. This milestone reflects the dedication, talent, and hard work of Forney ISD students, as well as the strong support of families, educators, and community partners. The district’s innovative partnership with VU Scholarships has given students access to a wide range of scholarship opportunities from colleges and universities across the country.

 

Funded by the Forney Education Foundation, through Forney ISD’s VU Scholarships initiative, every junior and senior in Forney ISD had the opportunity to receive personalized scholarship offers, resulting in a remarkable 46,376 total scholarship awards across the district. This partnership has significantly increased scholarship access, empowered students to explore post‑secondary pathways, and helped families better plan for the future.

 

“Forney ISD is committed to opening as many doors as possible for our students, no matter which path they choose,” said Tina Spain, Director of Guidance and Social Services. “Our partnership with VU Scholarships strengthens that mission by expanding access and opportunity. We couldn’t be more proud of the incredible accomplishments of our students.”
