Forney ISD esports teams delivered outstanding performances at Saturday’s regional tournament, an event that brought together more than 200 players from 23 unique schools across the area. From dominating brackets to earning college opportunities, Forney students made their mark in multiple competitions.

Marvel Rivals Team Earns State Invitation & Top 2 Finish

Forney ISD’s Marvel Rivals team secured a Top 2 placement, advancing to the Grand Finals with a STATE INVITE to follow. Their strategic gameplay and consistency positioned Forney among the strongest teams in Texas esports.

Three Forney ISD Students Receive Full-Ride Scholarship Offers

In an exciting milestone for the district, three students were offered full-ride scholarships to Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC) in Athens for their performance in Marvel Rivals:

  • Jeremiah Dunn, 11th grade, Forney High School

  • Sekwone Banks, 10th grade, Forney High School

  • Aaron Chan, 12th grade, North Forney High School

This marks one of the largest single-day scholarship recognitions in Forney ISD esports history.

Forney ISD Competitors Excel in Smash Bros. Brackets

With 120 players competing in the Smash Bros. bracket, Forney ISD placed four students in the Top 16, showcasing depth and skill within the program. Congratulations to:

  • Jaden Persaud (10th grade)

  • Nixar Castro

  • Devoe Ward

  • Jeremiah Dunn

Smash Bros. playoffs continue November 19, where Forney students look to advance even further.
