North Forney Band Makes History with First-Ever Appearance in UIL Area Finals
Lauren Blackard

The North Forney High School Pride of Falcon Nation Band made history this past weekend by advancing to the UIL Area C 6A Finals for the first time in program history.

In their landmark finals performance, the Pride of Falcon Nation placed sixth overall—just two spots away from qualifying for the UIL State Marching Contest. This achievement marks a major milestone for the program, reflecting years of dedication, growth, and collaboration among students, directors, and community supporters.

“The students set ambitious goals at the start of the season, and they not only accomplished them but truly exceeded every expectation,” said Jim Gist, Director of Bands at North Forney High School. “Their commitment, teamwork, and character—both on and off the field—have made this a landmark season for our program.”

The Pride of Falcon Nation will conclude their 2025 competitive marching season this Wednesday at the U.S. Bands Competition at AT&T Stadium, closing out one of the most successful fall seasons in North Forney history.
