Give Where You Live

Hosted at Eno's Pizza Tavern 

Time: 8:30a-10:30am 

This is a "Give Where You Live" opportunity for families to make meals for people in need. Families are encouraged to sign up at the link here. There will be limited slots. Volunteers will need to choose something to donate and bring it with them. the donation items include, sandwich bread, cheese, meat, chips, tangerine, and ziplock bags. We will be making a food bag for donation to a local community partner in Forney. As families serve together, they will strengthen communication, practice teamwork, build empathy, and develop a greater sense of purpose while modeling kindness, responsibility and good citizenship. This family-friendly experience empowers participants to make a positive difference in their community while building leadership skills, confidence, and career-ready character traits.

Hosted at Warren Middle School - Cafeteria & Courtyard

Time: 5:30pm-7pm

This is an opportunity for families to donate, collect, and sort used or unwanted crayons. The crayons will be sorted by colors and shipped to the Crayon Initiative Warehouse where they will be melted, reused, reformed, and shaped as triangles as the crayons will be donated to children in hospitals across the country. As families serve together, they will strengthen communication, practice teamwork, build empathy, and develop a greater sense of purpose while modeling kindness, responsibility, and good citizenship. This family-friendly experience empowers participants to make a positive difference in their community while building leadership skills, confidence, and career-ready traits.

High Tea with Forney ISD invites parents, caregivers, and students to enjoy an elegant afternoon of connection, conversation, and financial learning. Families will gather around beautifully decorated tea tables to enjoy a variety of teas and light refreshments while participating in an engaging financial literacy presentation led by American National Bank of Texas. Participants will explore practical topics such as budgeting, saving, credit, and planning for future financial goals in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere designed to encourage family conversations. Tea party attire is welcomed, but completely optional, as families enjoy a unique experience that blends learning, relationship-building, and community. Join us for an afternoon where meaningful conversations, valuable financial knowledge, and family connections are shared one cup at a time.

Join us for a relaxed evening of conversation, connection, and learning at our high school's local cafe. Families and students are invited to enjoy light snacks and beverages while engaging with a community health and wellness expert who will share practical strategies to support lifelong well-being. Participants will explore everyday wellness habits, learn about valuable community resources, and discover simple, realistic ways to make healthy choice together as a family. Whether you're looking to build healthier routines, strengthen family wellness, or gain tools that can benefit every stage of life, this interactive care conversation offers meaningful information in a welcoming and comfortable environment. This event is designed for the entire family and encourages open discussion, learning, and connection while building healthier futures together.

Parents, caregivers, and students are invited to enjoy and evening of creativity, conversation, and connection as they paint alongside one another under the guidance of a local art teacher. Each participant will create their own canvas masterpiece while sharing a meaningful experience that encourages communication, teamwork, and quality family time.

Give Where You Live invites families, parents, caregivers, and students to make a meaningful impact by giving together through a hands-on project. Participants are encouraged to donate requested essential items and work side by side to assemble care kits that will be distributed to local emergency shelters, transitional housing programs, and community service agencies. As families serve together, they will strengthen communication, practice teamwork, build empathy, and develop a greater sense of purpose while modeling kindness, responsibility, and good citizenship. This family-friendly experience empowers participants to make a positive difference in their community while building leadership skills, confidence, and career-ready character traits.

Hosted at Themer Middle School

Time:  5:30pm-7p

Community Gym Night invites students, families, and community members to come together for an evening of movement, learning, and fun. Student athletes will lead interactive physical fitness activities and demonstrate exercise that participants of all ages can enjoy at home or in their community. Families will explore the benefits of regular physical activity while building healthy  habits, strengthening family relationships, and encouraging teamwork through engaging fitness challenges. Community health and wellness partners will be on-site to share valuable programs, services, and resources that support healthy living throughout the year.

Families, students, and community members are invited to share their heritage by bringing traditional foods, displaying cultural artifacts, wearing traditional attire, and presenting fun "Did You Know?" facts about their culture. This interactive celebration provides opportunities to learn form one another, build meaningful connections, and foster appreciation for the rich diversity within our community.
