About Tim V. Rhodes

Specialist Timothy V. Rhodes is the only soldier From Forney Texas “killed-in-action” in Vietnam. He graduated from Forney High School in 1963. He was drafted into the Army, entered via Selective Service and served during the Vietnam War. He began his tour on March 27, 1967. He had the rank of Specialist Four with a specialty in Light Weapons Infantry. Rhodes experienced a traumatic event which resulted in loss of life on August 16, 1967 at the age of 22. Recorded circumstances attributed to: "Died through hostile action, small arms fire". Incident location: South Vietnam, Binh Dinh province.
