“When we lose one blessing, another is often most unexpectedly given in its place.” - C.S. Lewis
With all the Class of 2020 has gone through, we believe it’s only appropriate to celebrate your graduation achievement not just once, but twice.
After Gov. Abbott’s announcement on Monday, we are unable to hold our traditional graduation at the Culwell Center on May 20. Our traditional graduation ceremony has been moved to our back-up date of Tuesday, June 23 at the Curtis Culwell Center, with a secondary date of July 31, 2020.
But we still want to celebrate on May 20 by doing something we’ve never done before, and then celebrate a 2nd time with a traditional graduation ceremony.
Now more than ever, parents and families are partners in education. We invite your immediate family and/or a special person in your life to personally present your diploma to you on May 20 during a scheduled time.
The campus will provide a time for students to pick up their diploma on May 20. A photographer will be provided by the district, free of charge, to capture this important life moment with special Forney Family photos, and all photos of you with your family will be mailed to the address listed in Skyward in early June.
We believe families should celebrate with their graduates. We hope to honor the Class of 2020 with the first ever Forney Family Graduation Photo on Wednesday, May 20 and the traditional graduation ceremony at Curtis Culwell Center on Tuesday, June 23.
Each campus will send out additional information closer to May 20 and June 23 with details on the celebrations.
